Ordinance 2025-386 appropriates $1,500,000 from the St. Johns River Park Restaurant Contingency Account to the St. Johns River Park Restaurant – Other Construction Costs Account within the Downtown Southbank CRA Trust Fund. These funds are allocated for the construction of a new restaurant and associated site improvements in St. Johns River Park. The Downtown Investment Authority (DIA) identified the restaurant as a recommended amenity in its redevelopment plans for the Southbank. Streetsense, a hospitality consulting firm, and Halff and Associates contributed to the concept, and CD + Urban Studio is finalizing the design. The project aims to add a standalone restaurant with outdoor seating, complementing existing park amenities and a concession stand. The City Council approved the appropriation with a 17-0 vote.
