This ordinance amends Section 21.07 of Article 21 of the City of Jacksonville Charter to adjust the financial contributions made by JEA to the City for the five-year period from October 1, 2024, to September 30, 2029 (FY25 through FY29). The annual contribution amounts are specified as: $137,424,496 for FY25, $178,798,741 for FY26, $140,186,728 for FY27, $141,488,596 for FY28, and $143,004,482 for FY29. In addition to these financial contributions, JEA will provide total nitrogen water quality credits to the City until December 31, 2033, as per an amended Interagency Agreement. These credits will help the City achieve its Basin Management Action Plan load reduction goals. The Finance Department will oversee the implementation of this agreement. The legislation does not appropriate new funding as the FY25 payment was already included in the FY25 budget.
