The City Council of Jacksonville approved a zoning exception (E-25-21) for the property at 9437 Collins Road, located at the northeast corner of the intersection of Old Middleburg Road and Collins Road. This exception allows for the establishment of a retail facility for Shores Fine Wine and Spirits at Collins, Inc., which includes the retail sale and on-premises consumption of all alcoholic beverages (liquor, beer, and wine) within the existing Planned Unit Development (PUD) District (2023-747-E). The decision was based on findings that the exception is consistent with the Comprehensive Plan, compatible with existing uses, will not have negative environmental impacts, and will not detrimentally affect traffic or public services. The application was filed by Paul Harden, Esq., on behalf of the owner, VRIHI Development, LLC. The Land Use and Zoning Committee recommended approval, and the City Council approved it with a 16-0 vote.
