An ordinance was enacted to rezone approximately 1.02 acres located at 0 and 729 Edgewood Avenue South, between Quincy Street and Falmouth Street. The property, owned by 729 Edge, LLC, was reclassified from Commercial Community/General-1 (CCG-1) District to Planned Unit Development (PUD) District. This new PUD designation permits multi-family dwellings, commercial, and office uses on the site. The rezoning is consistent with the 2045 Comprehensive Plan and was found not to adversely affect the City's orderly development, health and safety of residents, or the natural environment. The Land Use & Zoning Committee recommended approval (7-0), and the City Council approved the ordinance (18-0) on May 27, 2025.
