An ordinance was introduced by the Land Use and Zoning Committee to rezone approximately 15.87 acres at 5355 Pickettville Road from Residential Rural-Acre (RR-Acre) District to Industrial Light (IL) District. This rezoning is consistent with the 2045 Comprehensive Plan and the adopted companion Small-Scale Amendment L-5998-24C. The Planning Commission and Land Use and Zoning Committee both rendered advisory opinions in favor of the rezoning. The City Council held a public hearing and approved the rezoning 19-0. The effective date of the ordinance is May 13, 2024.
