This ordinance appropriates a total of $3,570,482.74 from existing Countywide Traffic Signalization and Intersection Improvements projects to fund six targeted traffic signal and intersection improvement initiatives across the city. The funded projects include the Adams & Lee Traffic Signal Rebuild ($509,650.82), Lonestar & Townsend Mast Arm Replacement ($501,041.61), Arlington & Oakwood Mast Arm Replacement ($233,353.55), Fort Caroline & University Traffic Signal Rebuild ($945,543.97), Monument & Regency Traffic Signal Rebuild ($1,217,763), and the St. Johns Bluff & Lost Pine Drive Signalized U-Turn project ($163,129.79). The ordinance amends the 2025–2029 Five-Year Capital Improvement Plan to reflect these appropriations and authorizes immediate commencement of the projects to avoid delays. It requires a two-thirds affirmative vote of the City Council due to the CIP amendment, and becomes effective upon the Mayor’s signature.
