The City Council of Jacksonville enacted an ordinance to rezone approximately 2.04 acres at 7900 Arlington Expressway. The property, owned by 8000 Realco, LLC, was reclassified from Commercial Community/General-2 (CCG-2) District to Planned Unit Development (PUD) District. This rezoning permits multifamily dwellings with integrated commercial and office uses. The rezoning aligns with the 2045 Comprehensive Plan and was recommended for approval by the Planning and Development Department, Planning Commission, and the Land Use and Zoning (LUZ) Committee. The decision was made after public hearings, and the Council found the proposed PUD consistent with the city's orderly development and zoning code, and not detrimental to health, safety, or the environment.
