Ordinance 2025-89-E approves a large-scale revision to the 2045 Comprehensive Plan's Future Land Use Map series for approximately 79.33 acres in Council District 12, Jacksonville, Florida. The revision changes the land use designation from Rural Residential (RR) to Low Density Residential (LDR). The properties involved are located at 0, 11201, and 11203 Branan Field Road and 0 Dawsons Creek Drive, situated west of Cecil Commerce Center Parkway, between Cessna Boulevard and Branan Field Road. The application, L-5996-24A, was submitted by Paul Harden, Esq., on behalf of property owners Kay C. Hughes, Ryan C. Powell, Keith Faver (as personal representative for the Estate of Dena H. Faver), Lynn Hope Domenech, and Linda Jo Loudy. The proposal received advisory recommendations from the Planning and Development Department, the Planning Commission (LPA), and the Land Use and Zoning (LUZ) Committee, ultimately being approved by the City Council with a 17-0 vote on March 25, 2025. The ordinance became effective on March 26, 2025.
