An ordinance was adopted to enact a small-scale amendment to the 2045 Comprehensive Plan's Future Land Use Map series. This amendment changes the land use designation of approximately 3.61 acres located at 11915 New Kings Road from Community/General Commercial (CGC) to Light Industrial (LI). The property is owned by M. Gay Constructors, Inc., and the application (L-6006-24C) was filed by Steve Diebenow, Esq. The Planning and Development Department, Planning Commission, and the Land Use and Zoning (LUZ) Committee all reviewed the proposed revision and provided advisory recommendations to the City Council. The City Council subsequently held public hearings, considered all comments, and determined it necessary and desirable to adopt the amendment to preserve and enhance present advantages and encourage appropriate land use. The ordinance becomes effective thirty-one days after adoption, provided it is not challenged.
