An ordinance was enacted to rezone approximately 38.47 acres in Council District 12 from Agriculture (AGR) District to Planned Unit Development (PUD) District. The property is owned by Stone Mountain Industrial Park, Inc. and Topo Chico, LLC. The rezoning will permit parking, storage, and other light industrial uses as described in the Westside Development PUD. This decision is consistent with the 2045 Comprehensive Plan and follows a small-scale amendment application (L-5971-24C). The rezoning was recommended for approval by the Land Use and Zoning Committee (LUZ) and the Planning Commission, and ultimately approved by the City Council with a 17-0 vote.
