The Houston City Council has confirmed a Resolution of No Objection for two applicants seeking 4% Housing Tax Credits (HTCs) to develop affordable rental housing. The Housing and Community Development Department (HCD) reviewed applications for Waters at Arrowood (8304 S. Course Drive) and Coolwood Oaks (777 Coolwood Drive). Both projects involve the rehabilitation of existing properties and are aimed at preserving affordable housing for families. This resolution allows the developers to apply for federal tax credits administered by the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) to support the creation and preservation of quality affordable housing.
