The City Council approved the City's consent to add five tracts of land, totaling 27.727 acres, to the Spring West Municipal Utility District. This vacant land is proposed for multi-family residential, commercial, and other development, including drainage and detention. The District, established in 1978 by the TCEQ, currently encompasses 546.3387 acres within Harris County and falls under the City of Houston's extraterritorial jurisdiction. The annexation tracts are situated near FM 2920, Greengate Drive, Spring Stuebner Road, and Holzwarth Road. The Utility District Review Committee evaluated the application, confirming adequate wastewater collection, treatment, potable water distribution, and stormwater conveyance. All future construction plans for water conveyance, wastewater collection, and stormwater systems within the district must receive prior approval from the City.
