The Houston City Council approved an ordinance authorizing the abandonment and sale of a portion of McDonald Street, specifically the section from Stillman Street north to its terminus. This street segment was sold to TCUW Properties, LLC for a cash payment of $85,670.00. In exchange for the abandonment, TCUW Properties, LLC also conveyed a full-width storm sewer easement to the City of Houston. The applicant, Bradley Richards of TCUW Properties, LLC, requested the abandonment to construct a parking lot for their existing business located at 6200 Stillman Street. The total value of the abandoned street easement (Parcel SY23-098), which measures 2080.5 square feet, was determined to be $168,890.00, including the land value and depreciated asphalt pavement improvements. The conveyed storm sewer easement (Parcel LY24-001) also measures 2080.5 square feet and was valued at $83,220.00.
