Council approved an ordinance appropriating an additional $5,643,750 to the Professional Engineering Services Contract with Halff Associates, Inc. This third additional appropriation under contract No. 20INF2538 will fund project management, staff augmentation and technical support for stormwater drainage and paving improvement projects. The appropriation allocates $5,375,000 for contract services and $268,750 for CIP cost recovery. Under the scope, Halff Associates will continue providing engineering design services and technical support as part of the Storm Drainage Capital Improvement Plan to reduce the risk of structural flooding. The contract’s MWBE goal is 24%; to date the Consultant has been paid $14,258,487 (80.43%) and MWBE sub-consultants have received $4,317,382 (30.28%). Council previously approved the original contract on October 21, 2020 (Ordinance No. 2020-0907), amended it on February 23, 2022 (Ordinance No. 2022-0147) and added funds on September 27, 2023 (Ordinance No. 2023-0800). No significant fiscal operating impact is anticipated.
