Council approved a $21,659,640.47 contract award to Servox, LLC for improvements to various groundwater facilities, re-pump stations, HVAC, and ventilation systems under Package 2 of the Groundwater Facility/Re-Pump Station Rehabilitation and Replacement Program. The project will enhance capacity to meet water demand and ensure compliance with Texas Commission on Environmental Quality regulations. Improvements include renovations, pump installation/rehabilitation, and replacement of electrical switchgear, generators, valves, meters, motors, and HVAC & ventilation components at eight sites across Houston. The contract was bid on January 30, 2025, with Servox submitting the sole bid. Addenda 1 and 2 are incorporated, and Terracon Consultants, Inc. will provide testing services under a separate contract. The contract duration is 1170 calendar days. The total project cost of $24,025,604.51 includes contingencies, testing services, and CIP cost recovery. Procurement complied with Hire Houston First, with Servox designated as an HHF company, and achieved 13% MBE and 7% WBE participation through Baez Electrical and MVA Construction LLC. Funding is from Fund No. 8500 – Water and Sewer System Consolidated Construction.
