The City Council approved a Professional Engineering Services Contract with HR Green, Inc to design hazard mitigation and improvements for seven wastewater lift stations across Houston. The contract provides preliminary and final design, construction phase services, and additional services for Old Stone Trail, Tanya Circle, M.U.D. #175-2, Memorial Drive #5, Fleetwood, Addicks, and Woodway #2 lift stations. Basic Services fees total $2,294,867.50, with an additional services appropriation of $583,450.00, for a combined contract services appropriation of $2,878,317.50 plus $143,915.88 for CIP cost recovery. Services will include electrical, mechanical, structural, process, and piping improvements. The work supports compliance with the EPA/TCEQ wastewater consent decree and FEMA reimbursement eligibility. The contract includes a 28.10% M/WBE participation exceeding the 26.00% goal. No significant fiscal operating impact is anticipated.
