This ordinance appropriates $527,379.30 from the Water & Sewer System Consolidated Construction Fund to authorize the first amendment to the Professional Engineering Services Contract with Binkley & Barfield, Inc. The amendment expands the scope to complete final design for Subdivision I and construction phase services, and incorporates updated salary exhibits. Subdivision I includes designing approximately 40,240 linear feet of 16-inch, 12-inch, 8-inch and 6-inch water lines with associated hydrants, valves and fittings. Subdivision II includes services for approximately 26,500 linear feet of 8-inch and 6-inch lines and appurtenances. The contract amount will increase from $1,493,537 to $1,995,803, with $502,266 for services and $25,113.30 for CIP cost recovery. The amendment ensures funding for CIP cost recovery and updates contract terms under Ordinance No. 2020-0124. Approval supports the City’s Water Line Replacement Program to improve service reliability and fire protection in District I.
