City Council approved Ordinance CB25-0805 to relinquish portions of the public easement established under Vacation Ordinance No. 110, Series of 1997, affecting property at 2135 East Wesley Avenue. The easement areas include a 3,000-square-foot alley segment and 12,354 square feet of S. Gaylord Street, intended to facilitate redevelopment by the University of Denver. The request was investigated and coordinated with multiple city agencies and utility providers, all of which raised no objections. With the recommendation of the Director of Right-of-Way Services, the ordinance was passed by consent on June 10, 2025. The easement relinquishment will enable the Colorado Seminary University of Denver to incorporate the former right-of-way into its campus expansion plans.
