City Council approved rezoning approximately 154.12 acres at 4141 E. 35th Ave in Northeast Park Hill from OS-B to OS-A to facilitate its conversion from the former Park Hill Golf Course to a City-owned public park. The amendment, submitted by Community Planning and Development on behalf of CM Lewis and CM Sandoval, aligns the zoning designation with the property’s ownership and intended management by the Department of Parks and Recreation. The OS-B district had protected open spaces not owned by the City, while OS-A protects City-owned parks under DPR management. The parcel, originally part of the Charter process rezoned in June 2023, comprises 6,713,466 square feet and abuts public rights-of-way to their centerlines. Reviewed by the City Attorney on May 1, 2025, the ordinance was advanced by the Land Use, Transportation & Infrastructure Committee on April 29, 2025 and passed by full Council on June 2, 2025.
