The City and County of Denver has approved a new agreement with the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless, allocating $3 million to expand the Denver Street Outreach Collaborative (DSOC). The funding will support a coordinated outreach effort to assist individuals experiencing unsheltered homelessness by providing case management, housing navigation, and crisis intervention services. DSOC will deploy teams of outreach workers, case managers, behavioral health providers, and registered nurses to engage with individuals in encampments and public spaces. The program aims to foster long-term trust with clients, remove barriers to housing, and streamline the transition to stable housing. The contract, which runs through December 31, 2025, also includes a partnership with the St. Francis Center to enhance service delivery.
This funding strengthens Denver’s homelessness resolution strategy by expanding direct outreach and housing stabilization services. By increasing support for unsheltered individuals, the city aims to improve housing outcomes and reduce long-term homelessness.
