The City and County of Denver has approved a third amendment to its agreement with the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless, allocating an additional $3.7 million to its Housing First and Support Services Project. This brings the total contract to $17,841,667 and extends it through December 31, 2025. The program supports 180 households annually by providing case management, housing assistance, utility support, and treatment services for individuals experiencing chronic homelessness. With a focus on rapid housing placement and long-term stability, the initiative aims to enhance Denver's efforts in reducing homelessness through evidence-based supportive housing solutions.
This expansion strengthens Denver’s commitment to the Housing First approach, ensuring individuals experiencing chronic homelessness receive comprehensive support to maintain stable housing. The additional funding enhances case management, financial assistance, and wraparound services to improve housing retention and reduce homelessness in the city.
