The Columbus Development Commission approved the rezoning of a 32.4-acre site at 775 Georgesville Road from L-M, Limited Manufacturing District, to L-M, Limited Manufacturing District (Rezoning #Z24-003). This allows for the expansion of an existing self-storage facility to include truck and equipment rentals, warehousing, a shop maintenance facility, recreational vehicle storage (covered and open), shipping container storage (inside), and accessory office uses. The previous C-2 Commercial uses outlined in a 2013 rezoning will be eliminated. The new limitation text includes specific development standards regarding building height (max 15ft for exterior storage, 35ft for former Meijer building, 45ft for proposed building B), setbacks (80ft from Georgesville Road based on 160ft right-of-way plan), and the provision of 80ft of Georgesville Road right-of-way from centerline to the City. The plan also details requirements for site access, landscaping, screening, building design, dumpsters, and lighting. This approval aligns with the Hilltop Land Use Plan’s "Mixed Use 3" recommendation.
