The City Council of Columbus authorized the Director of Columbus Water and Power to enter into service contracts with five companies: ABIX LTD., Davey Resource Group, Inc., 4K Landscape LLC., Ironsite Inc., and Watershed Organic Lawn Care LLC. These contracts are for services related to the City's Green Infrastructure Inspection and Maintenance Project. The project involves the maintenance of 62 facilities with 1,061 bio-retention basins and wetlands across various locations in Columbus, including Clintonville, Linden, Eastmoor, and several reservoir and booster station areas. The total expenditure authorized for these contracts is $1,413,535.76, with funds allocated from the Storm Sewer Operating Fund ($1,314,040.00) and the Water Operating Fund ($99,495.76). The contracts will be in effect from the date of execution through July 1, 2026. The emergency designation was requested due to inconsistent maintenance over the past four months, leading to constituent complaints, and the immediate need to prevent further delays and get the project back on schedule.
