The Columbus City Council authorized the Director of Public Utilities to enter into a construction contract with General Temperature Control, Incorporated, for the SWWTP CHB Unit H51 & SDB Zoning/VAV's project. This project, with a total cost of $1,198,800.00, involves the replacement of the Southerly Water Reclamation Plant's HVAC Unit H51 and SDB Zoning VAVs, along with other necessary work. The contract was awarded to General Temperature Control, Incorporated, as the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. Funding for the construction portion is anticipated from a loan through the Water Pollution Control Loan Fund (WPCLF), administered by the Ohio EPA and the Ohio Water Development Authority (OWDA). An amendment to the 2024 Capital Improvement Budget was also approved to align budget authority with the project. The ordinance is contingent upon the OWDA approving the loan.
