The City Council of Columbus authorized the Director of the Department of Development to amend the existing Annexation Agreement between the City of Columbus, the City of New Albany, and Plain Township, Franklin County, Ohio. This amendment primarily involves replacing the original Service Area Boundary Map (Exhibit A) and the Agreement Territory Map (Exhibit B) with updated versions. The previous agreements, including the 2008 Annexation Agreement and its 2009 First Amendment, as well as Water Service and Sewer Service agreements from 2022 (amended in 2024), defined these boundaries. The updated maps reflect recent changes in water and sewer service areas, effective April 10, 2025, and aim to clarify the designated Growth Areas within the agreement territory. The amendment was authorized by the New Albany City Council via Resolution R-17-2025, adopted on May 6, 2025. This ensures consistency across all parties regarding the delineation of service and growth zones.
