This ordinance authorizes the Director of Public Service to renew a professional services contract with DeBra Kuempel Inc. for facilities mechanical repair for the second of four planned one-year renewal terms. The contract covers maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC needs for the Department of Public Service divisions including Refuse Collection, Parking Services, Infrastructure Management, Design and Construction, and Traffic Management. The initial contract was authorized by Ordinance 2350-2023 for one year with four renewal options. Ordinance 1522-2024 authorized the first renewal. This current ordinance authorizes the second renewal in the amount of up to $341,000.00 for the third year of services. The total contract amount, including all renewals, will be $1,072,000.00. Funds are budgeted from the General Fund, Mobility Enterprise Fund, Street Construction Maintenance and Repair Fund, Public Construction Inspection Funds, and Private Construction Inspection Funds. Emergency action was requested to prevent a lapse in repair services.
