The City Council of Columbus authorized the Director of Finance and Management, on behalf of the Office of Construction Management, to modify and increase the Architect-of-Record Services agreement with Moody Nolan, Inc. for the New Municipal Court Building project by an additional $12,594,678.11. This modification, the second for the project, brings the total agreement value to $16,984,502.70. The additional funds are allocated for the design development and construction document stages, which will increase the level of detail in design documents, prepare them for future bidding, and provide assistance during the bidding phases. The scope also includes construction administration fees related to the demolition of the James A. Karnes building, covering code summary, life safety plans, site/civil plans, and architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection plans and specifications. The duration of this scope of work is approximately 48 weeks. The ordinance was declared an emergency measure to maintain the project's schedule and minimize delays.
