The City Council adopted a resolution declaring the necessity and intent to appropriate and accept fee simple title and lesser real estate interests in order to complete the Arterial - SR161 - I71 to Cleveland Avenue Phase 2 project (Project 533003-100000, PID 115797). The resolution authorizes the City Attorney to acquire or appropriate 43 individual parcels, identified by exhibit numbers, along State Route 161, Tamarack Boulevard, Sharon Woods Boulevard, and Beechcroft Road, including fee simple acquisitions, temporary easements, and perpetual highway and sewer easements. This measure ensures that right-of-way needs are met when property owners cannot be located or when just compensation cannot be agreed upon in good faith. It empowers written notice of acquisition to be served upon affected owners and holders of property interests. The project will allow the Department of Public Service to improve and repair portions of public right-of-way and appurtenances to better serve the traveling public.
