City Council approved Ordinance 1687-2025 to consolidate the Office of Real Estate Management from the Department of Finance into a new Division of Real Estate and Land Redevelopment within the Department of Development. The ordinance amends and repeals multiple sections of the Columbus City Codes (Title 215, 223, Chapter 328, Sections 329.32 and 329.33, Chapter 913, Sections 3513.02, 3513.03, 4305.05), adds definitions, and updates procedures for sale, lease, and management of city-owned real property. It also transfers appropriations totaling $1.152 million between funds and divisions, and declares the measure an emergency with an effective date of July 6, 2025.
