On May 1, 2025, the Columbus City Council approved Ordinance 0945-2025 to rename the section of Delbert Road from the south right-of-way line of Twenty Third Avenue to its southern terminus as “Pastor Charles H Rogers Sr. Way.” The request was submitted by Faith Tabernacle Church Life Restoration Center to honor the late Pastor Charles H Rogers Sr. The Division of Infrastructure Management reviewed and confirmed that the proposed name complies with the city’s street naming policies and reserved it pending official approval. Concurrent notifications to all City agencies yielded no objections. Faith Tabernacle Church completed all procedural requirements and agreed to cover the $1,950 cost for removing existing street signs and installing new signs and poles. The payment will be deposited into Fund 7748, Project P537650. The ordinance takes effect upon the earliest period allowed by law, once the new signage is in place.
