The Columbus Development Commission recommended approval for a rezoning application for 2512 Jackson Pike. The applicant, SuburbanRNG-Columbus, requested to rezone the 5.83-acre site from EQ, Excavation and Quarrying District, to M, Manufacturing District. The proposed use for the site is renewable gas production. The site currently hosts a wastewater treatment plant. The rezoning is consistent with the Southwest Area Plan and Columbus Citywide Planning Policies (C2P2), which recommend 'Industrial' land uses for the location. The Southwest Area Commission voted 5-0 to recommend approval of the rezoning.
