The Columbus City Council approved a 75% tax abatement for 10 years to incentivize the $44 million expansion of FlightSafety International’s Learning Center. The project includes a 30,000 sqft expansion to accommodate six new flight simulators, retaining 162 full-time positions with a payroll of $18.6M and creating 35 new positions with a $3.3M payroll.
This expansion reinforces Columbus as a hub for aviation training and brings economic benefits through job retention and creation, increasing local employment opportunities.
