The Columbus City Council has approved a $2 million grant to the Columbus Metropolitan Housing Authority (CMHA) for the renovation of the Country Ridge property. The development, consisting of 96 affordable housing units, will undergo substantial renovations, including upgrades to kitchens, baths, flooring, appliances, HVAC systems, water heaters, window treatments, siding, windows, and roofs. The project is part of the city's ongoing commitment to increasing and preserving affordable housing. All residents will have access to the CMHA’s RISE Center, providing resources in areas such as Economic Empowerment, Educational Advancement, Health & Wellness, and Character & Leadership.
This renovation is crucial in maintaining and enhancing the availability of affordable housing in the area, ensuring that low-income residents have access to safe and modernized living conditions.
