The Chicago City Council approved an ordinance to reclassify the zoning of the property located at 3135 West Devon Avenue. The area, bound by West Devon Avenue, North Troy Street, the alley south of and parallel to West Devon Avenue, and a line 74 feet west of and parallel to North Troy Street, was previously zoned as B3-2, Community Shopping District. The reclassification changes the zoning to RM5.5, Residential Multi-Unit District. This decision was formally passed by the City Council on July 16, 2025, following a recommendation to pass from the Committee on Zoning, Landmarks and Building Standards on July 15, 2025. Alderwoman Debra Silverstein was the filing sponsor for this zoning reclassification.
