The City of Chicago passed an ordinance designating 4920 N Sheridan Road in the Uptown community area as a Low Affordability Community under the state’s Affordable Housing Special Assessment Program (35 ILCS 200/15-178). The designation enables a reduction in assessed value for a new 31-unit multifamily building, of which six units will be income-restricted for 30 years to households at or below maximum income limits. The ordinance specifies the permanent index number (PIN: 14-08-144-017-0000) and authorizes the City Clerk and Department of Housing to deliver a certified copy to the Cook County Assessor. It becomes effective 10 days after passage and publication.
