The City Council authorized the conveyance of three vacant city-owned parcels—3924 and 3932 Freedom Drive and 7825 Tyner Street—to recommended affordable housing developers. True Homes and Prosperity Alliance will receive the Freedom Drive parcels via fee simple warranty deed to develop homeownership units, and Camino Community Development Corporation (in partnership with True Homes) will secure a long-term ground lease for the Tyner Street site to build for-rent townhomes and transitional housing. The properties were appraised in mid-2024, establishing fair market values of $728,000 for Freedom Drive (Council District 2) and $681,275 for Tyner Street (Council District 4). The conveyances are conditioned upon developers finalizing their project plans and securing necessary funding. Final resolutions to complete the transfers will return to City Council for adoption once development agreements are in place.
