The City of Atlanta, through Ordinance 25-O-1315 (25), authorized the Mayor or their designee to grant a utility easement to Georgia Power Company. This easement covers two areas totaling 751.1 square feet (522.8 SF and 228.3 SF) across the property at 215 Lakewood Way, SE, also known as J.C. Birdine Neighborhood Center. The purpose of the easement is to allow Georgia Power to install overhead power distribution facilities. The city will receive a payment of $3,860.00 for the easement, and certain sections of the real estate and procurement code (2-1571 and 2-1572) were waived.
