This ordinance authorizes the Mayor to reinstate and amend the existing lease between the City and The Retail Property Trust for the rental of approximately 1,797 square feet of office space at 3393 Peachtree Road, Suite 2016B, Lenox Mall, Atlanta. The lease term is extended retroactively from January 1, 2024, through December 31, 2026, at a rental rate not exceeding one dollar ($1.00) per year. It waives Article X, Section 2-1546 of the City’s Procurement Code to bypass competitive solicitation requirements. The leased premises will continue to house the Atlanta Police Department’s Zone 2 Lenox Mall Mini-Precinct, supporting community policing operations in a high-traffic retail center. The ordinance authorizes expenditure from the General Fund (1001), APD Police Precinct Zone 2 (240406), Building Rental or Lease Services (5223103), and Patrol (3223000). It directs the City Attorney to prepare and execute the lease amendment and related documents, and ratifies any actions taken to date under the expired lease.
