Ordinance 25-O-1138 authorizes the Mayor of Atlanta to enter into 12-month Memoranda of Agreement with five neighborhood business organizations—East Atlanta Business Association, Little Five Points Business Association, West End Merchants Coalition, Virginia Highland District Association, and Sweet Auburn Works—to support participation in the Atlanta Main Street Program. The City’s Department of City Planning will provide each organization a donation of up to $12,000 to fund staff, training, and technical assistance aimed at community-driven revitalization of neighborhood business districts. Funding will be transferred from the General Fund (1001/250603/5212001/7520000/000000/00000) under the Economic Opportunity Consulting/Professional Services account. The MOAs require each organization to fulfill obligations including staff employment, monthly reporting, board participation, community engagement, and pursuit of Georgia Main Street designation. The agreements become binding upon completion of form approval, execution by the Mayor, and delivery to each organization.
