This ordinance authorizes the Mayor of Atlanta to enter into a contract with Xperto Consultants LLC for an amount not to exceed $515,000 to cover conference-related costs for the Air Service World Congress 2025 at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. The measure waives Article X, Division 4 of the city’s Procurement Code to expedite the agreement. The ASWC conference is expected to draw a global audience of route development executives, hosting approximately 50 airlines and 300 attendees. It will utilize more than 13,300 square feet of exhibition and meeting room space within the airport facilities. All hosting fees will be paid from the Airport Revenue Fund (Account 5501, Contingency 180115, Professional Services 5212001, Airport 7563000). Transportation Committee favorably substituted the ordinance, and the full City Council approved it on April 21, 2025. This action positions Atlanta as a central hub for international aviation discussions and strengthens airport partnerships.
