The City Council of Atlanta approved a special use permit for a park at 684 Mountain Drive NE. The property is 0.57 acres and is located in Land Lot 43, 17th District, Fulton County, Georgia. The permit was granted under Section 16-05.005(1)(k) of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Atlanta. The approval was based on recommendations from Staff, NPU, and ZRB. The conditional site plan and other conditions are enumerated by attachment. The permit does not authorize violation of any zoning district regulations, which would require application to the Board of Zoning Adjustment. The project will include concrete planters, pavers, slabs, benches, a steel trellis, mulch and garden areas, and crushed gravel pathways. Existing benches, fences, and landscaping will remain. No impervious surfaces will be introduced within the 75' Stream Buffer, and no modifications will be made to the floodplain. A 4' wide concrete sidewalk will connect to existing infrastructure.
