The City Council of Atlanta adopted an ordinance to grant a certificate under the Metropolitan River Protection Act (MRPA) to allow the construction of a rear addition, a new deck, and a rain garden on a 0.229-acre property at 2342 Bernard Road NW. The project involves land disturbance of 0.114 acres (4,997 square feet) and adds a 536 square foot addition. The Metropolitan River Protection Act Certificate was granted conditionally upon the survey/site plan prepared and sealed by Jeremy W. Witherington. The Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) found the project consistent with the Chattahoochee River Corridor Plan. The Zoning Committee gave a favorable recommendation unanimously on February 24, 2025, and the City Council adopted the ordinance by a roll call vote of 14 yeas and 0 nays.
