The San Francisco Board of Supervisors approved a development agreement with Prologis, L.P. for a major industrial project on a 17.1-acre site. The project, known as the San Francisco Gateway Project, involves the construction of two multi-story buildings totaling approximately 1,646,000 square feet. The development will feature space for production, distribution, repair (PDR), non-retail sales, automotive services, ground-floor maker space (20,000 sq ft), and some retail (8,400 sq ft). The project also includes a rooftop solar array and significant public infrastructure improvements to surrounding streets. The agreement provides Prologis with vested development rights for a 30-year term. The project is expected to generate 795 construction jobs and 1,980 permanent on-site jobs upon completion.
