The New York City Council has approved an application from the Department of Housing Preservation and Development for the Praise Tabernacle property. The approval designates the site as an Urban Development Action Area and approves the associated Urban Development Action Area Project. The decision followed a series of hearings and approvals from the Subcommittee on Landmarks, Public Sitings and Dispositions, and the Committee on Land Use, culminating in a final approval by the full City Council on November 25, 2025.
