The New York City Council has approved a rezoning for 1720 Atlantic Avenue in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. The action changes the site's zoning from M1-1 to R7A/C2-4 and C4-4D to facilitate a new 13-story, mixed-use development. The project will include 300 residential units, of which 84 will be permanently affordable under the Mandatory Inclusionary Housing (MIH) program. The development will encompass 300,695 square feet, including 230,388 SF of residential space, 50,397 SF of commercial space, and 19,909 SF for a community facility. The building will be 140 feet tall and provide 116 parking spaces. The council's final approval was granted on November 25, 2025.
