The New York City Council voted to approve the designation of the 29th Street Towers as a historic landmark. The application was submitted by the Landmarks Preservation Commission for the property located at 214-226 West 29th Street in the Borough of Manhattan, covering Block 778, Lots 48 and 52. The item was referred to the Subcommittee on Landmarks, Public Sitings and Dispositions, which held hearings before the full Council approved the designation on November 25, 2025.
