The Nashville Metropolitan Council approved the second amendment to the East Bank Redevelopment Plan. The decision, finalized on November 18, 2025, updates a plan originally established in 1996 for the construction of an NFL stadium and expanded in 1999. This amendment significantly alters the plan's scope by removing the area west of the I-24/65 interstate loop, which is now under the purview of the new East Bank Development Authority. The ordinance extends the existing land use controls for the remaining portion of the project area, located east of the interstate, through December 31, 2026. This extension is intended to provide the necessary time for the city to consider and plan for the creation of a new Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) District in this corridor. The Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency (MDHA) Board of Commissioners had previously approved the amendment on October 14, 2025.
