The Metropolitan Council passed a resolution authorizing the abandonment of one existing fire hydrant assembly and the acceptance of a new one for the Northview Senior Living development. The action, which was recommended for approval by the Metropolitan Planning Commission on September 15, 2025, is necessary to facilitate the construction of the senior living project. Multiple Metro agencies, including Metro Parks and the Nashville Department of Transportation, reviewed the proposal and concurred with the recommendation. The new fire hydrant will be located in the public right-of-way. The council gave its final approval on November 18, 2025.
