The Metropolitan Council approved the rezoning of a 0.33-acre property at 1229 Dickerson Pike from a Specific Plan (SP) district to a Mixed-Use Limited – Apartment (MUL-A) district. The previous SP zoning had permitted a commercial development. The newly approved MUL-A zoning will facilitate the construction of a three-story building that includes 35 residential units and ground-floor commercial space. This project aligns with Nashville's urban growth goals by enhancing housing density and fostering a walkable, mixed-use environment. Councilman Freddie O'Connell presented the ordinance, which was recommended for approval by the Metropolitan Planning Commission.
