The Los Angeles City Council has authorized the Department of General Services to execute a five-year ground lease with GMA - Sierra Vista, LLC and Sierra Vista-Y, LLC for a tiny home village at 5301 Sierra Vista Avenue. The project, located in Council District 13, will serve as an interim housing site for people experiencing homelessness. The site will feature 45 units (42 standard, 3 ADA-compliant) providing a total of 51 beds. The nonprofit Dignity Moves will develop and construct the village on the 19,185 SF parcel. The lease term is set to run from January 1, 2026, to December 31, 2030, with no options to extend. The City will waive rent for the first three months, after which monthly rent will escalate from $20,000. Funding for the project includes a $3.87 million grant for construction and $60,000 from Council District 13 discretionary funds for initial lease costs.
